Amazon’s satellites to launch aboard rival SpaceX

Amazon’s satellites to launch aboard rival SpaceX
Amazon has signed a deal with SpaceX to launch its Kuiper internet satellites into orbit, reported TechCrunch.

What makes this notable is that SpaceX is Amazon’s direct competitor, running its own satellite internet network, Starlink. Still, Amazon turned to its rival to keep the Kuiper project on schedule.

Under the agreement, SpaceX will conduct three launches starting in late 2025 to carry Kuiper satellites into space. Amazon’s goal is to build a global high-speed internet network through this project.

The collaboration highlights how practical interests can override competition in the tech industry. While neither Amazon nor SpaceX has commented on the deal, experts believe the arrangement will benefit both companies.
