UK to regulate Google
The UK announced that Google has a strategic market position. This allows the CMA (Competition and Markets Authority) to oversee the company’s operations.

According to data, over 90% of searches in the UK are done through Google.

A Google representative said the measures could slow down operations. The company plans to invest 5 billion pounds (6.65 billion dollars) in the country.

The CMA can take steps to make Google search open to competition and give users access to other search engines. AI features will also be monitored.
