On October 9, the technological world in China witnessed another important event. Deep Robotics, a leading robotics company in the country, has unveiled its latest development - the DR02 humanoid robot, capable of operating in any weather conditions. Newsfile reported this.
The new model has not only a human-like appearance, but also the ability to act and think precisely. Experts note that the DR02 model combines a powerful motor system, a high computing power unit, and a modular structure, which increases its operational efficiency. At the same time, the artificial intelligence unit, which acts as the robot's "brain center," uses new generation algorithms.
One of the greatest advantages of this humanoid is its resistance to water and dust. DR02 is protected at the IP66 level and can operate not only in laboratory or office conditions, but also in an open rainy environment. According to company representatives, the robot can operate at temperatures from -20 to 55 degrees Celsius. This allows it to be used in construction, industry, logistics, and even rescue operations.
The humanoid, 175 centimeters tall, resembles a middle-aged man in appearance. His arm length is 68 centimeters, which creates the possibility of deep motor skills close to natural human movements. As a result, the robot adapted to working with people.
DR02 can cover a distance of 1.5 meters per second, and its maximum speed reaches 4 meters per second. It can even climb stairs 20 centimeters high and can lift loads weighing about 20 kilograms. This indicator makes it convenient for use in logistics and warehouses, as well as in production processes.
The exact price of the robot has not yet been disclosed. However, the developers estimate that its market value could be around $40,000. This price is more realistic and marketable compared to competing products in the field of robotics.
Deep Robotics representatives emphasized that the company's main goal is to facilitate human labor and replace humans in hazardous environments with safe technologies. Therefore, DR02 is planned to be tested in production, construction, and even medical institutions in the coming years.
