The largest overseas solar power plant in China has started operating

The world's largest offshore solar power plant has been commissioned in China. The station, with a capacity of 1 gigawatts, consists of 2,934 photovoltaic platforms, each measuring 60×35 meters. These platforms are placed on foundations installed on the seabed.
Due to the high population density in the eastern and southeastern regions of China, the construction of offshore solar power plants is of great importance. This station will help solve the problem of land scarcity and will be considered as an alternative to long-distance power transmission networks.
With this large-scale project, China is expected to strengthen its position in the global field of environmental energy production.
