China’s AgiBot becomes the world leader in robot sales

China’s humanoid robot maker AgiBot became the world leader in android sales in 2025. Founded in Shanghai in 2023, the company sold 5,168 robots last year, accounting for 39% of total global sales. This result turned AgiBot into an industry leader and further boosted confidence in its future.

Another Chinese robotics company, Unitree, took second place. Based in Hangzhou, Unitree sold 4.2 thousand androids, giving the brand a 32% share of the global market. Showing strong competitiveness in robot manufacturing, Unitree continues its research in pursuit of major future breakthroughs.

The top five also include UBtech (1,000 units, 7% market share), Leju Robotics (500 units, 4%), and EngineAI (400 units, 3%). All are based in Shenzhen, and their rivalry is further intensifying the global android market.

Tesla’s robots hold only a 1% share of global sales, with 150 units sold last year. The U.S. company indicated it will take several more years to turn its robots into a mass-market product.

In 2025, nearly 13,000 humanoid robots were sold worldwide, and analysts believe annual global sales will reach 2.6 million robots by 2035. This points to major growth in manufacturing and strong confidence in new technologies and the innovations they bring.

Past figures and future forecasts show how rapidly the robot market is developing and that many more revolutionary changes are expected ahead.
