A new special unit equipped with Bayraktar drones has been deployed on combat duty in Uzbekistan. This was announced by the head of the State Security Service, Bakhodir Kurbanov, at an expanded meeting of the Security Council under the President on January 13.
According to Kurbanov, as part of the introduction of digital tools into the state border protection system, 42% of the borders are covered by video surveillance, and 1,117 km of fiber-optic communication lines have been laid.
Supplies for the Border Troops were also presented: 98% motorized armored vehicles, 88% watercraft, 100% weapons and ammunition, 78% electronic-optical equipment. Units are also equipped with modern unmanned aerial vehicles.
