Huawei launches MateBook 14 laptop in China as a MacBook competitor

Huawei has launched its new MateBook 14 HarmonyOS Edition laptop in the Chinese market. The device was presented simultaneously with the flagship Pura 70 series smartphones. Ixbt.com reports this.

The new model is currently available for sale at VMall brand stores and partner networks.

The laptop is equipped with a 14.2-inch OLED screen that supports 2.8K resolution and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The maximum brightness of the display reaches 600 nits.

A special version with a PaperMatte coating is also offered, which reduces eye strain and minimizes reflections in sunlight.

The device is powered by a Kirin X90 processor and the HarmonyOS 4.2 operating system featuring artificial intelligence functions. The laptop is provided with up to 32 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of internal storage.

A dual-fan cooling system and a 70 Wh battery allow the device to play video for up to 21 hours.

The new model supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, and NearLink technologies. The MateBook 14 is produced in several colors, including gray and green variants.

The starting price of the device is set at 970 dollars.
