The world's largest technology companies have revised their plans, significantly increasing the amount of funds directed toward the field of artificial intelligence (AI). This figure is 77 percent higher than the record $410 billion in 2025. The primary reasons for such a sharp increase in spending are the rapid expansion of AI services and the need to develop data center infrastructure.
Despite investor skepticism regarding such massive expenditures, the companies' financial reports show that revenue and profits associated with the AI boom are growing. Demand for computing power continues to accelerate, allowing high capital expenditures to be offset by new revenue streams.
According to Jefferies analyst Brent Thill, the AI economy remains stable. Large companies have the ability to finance expansion without putting serious pressure on their balance sheets.
The expert described pessimistic forecasts regarding a decline in the asset prices of technology companies as unfounded.
