Etsy launches its new app within ChatGPT

Etsy has announced the launch of its dedicated app within the ChatGPT platform. This innovation allows shoppers to search a catalog of over 100 million products more conveniently using artificial intelligence. Users can now express their desires in natural language instead of using simple keywords. This is reported by Techcrunch.com reporting .
The new feature is currently in beta, and users can send direct requests within ChatGPT by using the @Etsy tag. The system filters products that match user requirements, allowing them to compare items and navigate to the Etsy site to make a purchase.
In addition to this integration, the company is testing a conversational AI-powered search system within its own platform. This assistant acts as a personal shopper, helping customers choose gifts and simplifying the purchasing process.
As part of its AI strategy, Etsy is also introducing new tools for sellers. These include automatic generation of product titles and descriptions, as well as a writing assistant to facilitate communication with buyers. Furthermore, a special “Designed” label has been introduced to mark content created with the help of AI.
Etsy joins companies like Angi, SeatGeek, Tubi, and Wix that have created their own apps within ChatGPT. This step is part of the company's strategy to develop its core market and increase user engagement.
