Google launches spyware detection feature for Android devices

Google has introduced a new feature for the Android operating system that helps security researchers study spyware attacks. Called "Intrusion Logging," this capability is part of Android's "Advanced Protection Mode" and allows users to enable it at their discretion. This is reported by Techcrunch.com reports .
This feature is designed to combat state-level spyware and forensic tools used by law enforcement agencies to steal data. Developed in collaboration with Amnesty International, this system significantly improves the quality of forensic data on Android devices.
Previously, system logs were not designed to detect security breaches and were frequently deleted. Now, "Intrusion Logging" records security-related events and uploads them in encrypted form to the user's Google cloud storage, preventing attackers from covering their tracks.
According to Google, the new feature is being rolled out gradually to all devices running the Android December update and later versions. Only the user has access to the encrypted data, and even Google cannot view them.
