GigaChat AI has mastered the Yakut language

The GigaChat AI assistant, developed by the Russian company Sber, now supports the Yakut language. This was announced by Aysen Nikolayev, Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), on his Telegram channel. This is reported by Ixbt.com .
Users can now communicate with the AI in Yakut, search for information, draft texts, and get help with studies and daily tasks. Aysen Nikolayev noted that the Yakut language is becoming an integral part of the modern digital environment and is being integrated into daily services.
Experts, scientists, educators, and IT professionals collaborated on this project. The data required to train the AI was provided by the Yakutia AI Laboratory, North-Eastern Federal University, and several national libraries and media organizations.
Yakutia has become one of the first regions to include its native language in Sber's large language model, alongside Russian and English. This technological achievement helps the language survive not only in traditions but also in modern education and communication formats.
