Google introduces Pause Point feature for Android users

Google has launched a new feature called Pause Point on the Android operating system, aimed at reducing user addiction to social media. This tool prompts users to take a mandatory 10-second break when opening distracting apps. This is reported by Ixbt.com reports .
Developers state that this short pause allows the user to ask themselves, "Why did I come here?" During the break, the system encourages the user to perform breathing exercises or think about more productive activities.
The Pause Point feature is not just a restriction, but a tool to improve digital well-being. The system may recommend using fitness apps, audiobooks, or digital libraries instead of social media.
Additionally, the feature includes the ability to set a special timer before using an app. Disabling this timer is more difficult than standard settings because it requires a phone restart, forcing the user to reconsider their decision.
