Google Unveils New AI Laptop: A New Milestone in Technology

At "The Android Show: I/O Edition 2026", Google unveiled its new generation of AI-powered laptops: the Googlebook line. These devices are presented by the company as the next step beyond traditional Chromebooks.
It is reported that Googlebooks run on a new platform that merges Android and ChromeOS. The main focus is on deep integration with the Gemini AI.
One of the device's notable features is a special light bar called Glowbar, which serves both design and functional purposes. Additionally, the Magic Pointer function acts as a cursor that provides smart recommendations based on user actions.
Googlebooks integrate seamlessly with Android smartphones, allowing users to run apps directly on the laptop, share files quickly, and synchronize workflows between devices.
Initial models are scheduled to hit the market in the fall of 2026 in partnership with Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, and Lenovo.
While experts are calling this innovation "Chromebook 2.0," some see it as a serious competitor to Microsoft and Apple's AI computers.
