World's first Airbus A380 equipped with Starlink

SpaceX CEO Elon Musk shared the news that Emirates has implemented Starlink satellite internet on its Airbus A380 aircraft. Emirates provided details on the technology's capabilities: the first Airbus A380 liner is already operating flights with the Starlink system. This is reported by news source.
The airline offers free Wi-Fi for passengers in all classes. Currently, the Emirates fleet has 33 aircraft equipped with Starlink, with plans to expand this to 232 liners in the future. These aircraft serve routes across the Middle East, Asia-Pacific, Europe, Africa, and the Americas.
Passengers will be able to enjoy video streaming, online gaming, and uninterrupted work during flights. According to Starlink Aviation head Nick Seitz, the system can provide speeds exceeding 2 Gbit/s on commercial aircraft.
Emirates will begin installing this technology on Boeing 777 aircraft starting in November 2025 and expects to complete the fleet-wide modernization by mid-2027. This project is part of the airline's $5 billion modernization program.
