China's Shenzhou-22 spacecraft begins its return to Earth

The Shenzhou-22 manned spacecraft, carrying a crew of three taikonauts, has successfully undocked from the Chinese orbital station. According to CCTV News, citing the China Manned Space Agency, this process marks the final stage of the crew's orbital mission. This is reported by Ixbt.com reports .

Before undocking from the station, the Shenzhou-21 crew completed all preparatory work with the support of ground specialists. This included checking the station's status, transmitting experimental data, and securing scientific materials. Additionally, the handover process to the newly arrived Shenzhou-23 crew was fully completed.

The taikonauts shared their orbital work experience, which is a standard part of expedition rotation. After undocking, the Shenzhou-22 descent capsule switched to a controlled return mode to Earth. The landing is scheduled to take place at a designated site in northern China.

The Chinese orbital station is located at an altitude of approximately 400 km and is designed for long-term habitation by three people. During expedition rotations, the number of crew members can temporarily reach six. The 66-ton T-shaped complex is currently being actively used for scientific programs, including international research.
