The Venmo payment app has announced its biggest design update since 2021. These changes aim to make the app more convenient, social, and easier to navigate. Experts view this update as part of PayPal's process to transform Venmo into a separate business unit and prepare it for a potential sale. This is reported by Techcrunch.com reports .
In the new feed, users can see visual elements related to payments, including enlarged images and quick reactions. Buttons like "Pay Again" and "Say Thanks" have been added, and a personalized cashback offer and recommendation system based on purchase history has been introduced. The "Give a Shoutout" feature allows users to support their favorite local businesses.
In the coming months, new sections called "Send" and "Money" will be launched. In the "Send" section, frequently contacted users will appear at the top, and the group expense splitting (Groups) feature has been simplified for groups of up to 30 people. The "Money" section will consolidate Teen Accounts, cryptocurrency operations, and expense management capabilities.
Venmo management emphasizes that these updates were developed as a result of a year of user research. The studies showed that many users were unaware of existing features in the app. The new design aims to solve this problem and make using the services more intuitive.
