Google updates Gemini app: Competition with ChatGPT and Claude intensifies

At its annual Google I/O event, Google introduced a series of significant updates for the Gemini app. The app is evolving from a simple chatbot into a universal AI hub that manages users' daily lives. This move is seen as a strategic step in the company's battle against competitors like ChatGPT and Claude. This is reported by Techcrunch.com reports.

The new "Daily Brief" feature analyzes a user's email, calendar, and tasks to provide personalized summaries every morning. The system not only summarizes data but also prioritizes tasks and offers recommendations for next steps. This feature is currently available to Google AI subscribers in the US.

The app's design has also been overhauled. The new interface, called "Neural Expressive," is enriched with fluid animations, vibrant colors, and user-friendly typography. Responses are now presented not just as text, but with key information highlighted at the top, accompanied by visual elements.

Additionally, a personal AI agent named Gemini Spark was introduced. It works 24/7 and is capable of performing real-world tasks on behalf of the user. Powered by cloud technology, Spark continues to run in the background even when the phone is locked, allowing users to automate their workflows.

The company also showcased a new AI video model called Gemini Omni. It is capable of creating high-quality videos based on text prompts. Users can quickly generate complex visual content by uploading audio, images, and videos.
