On March 20, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the construction and improvement works being carried out in Tashkent.

The share of the private sector in the economy is increasing due to the conveniences created for investors in our country. Direct investments are being made, and promising projects are being implemented in the fields of industry, construction, trade, and services.

The “High Town City” complex, built in the Yunusobod district of our capital, is one of them. It is extensive and includes a shopping and entertainment center, a business center, a hotel, and modern residential buildings. A total of $510 million in foreign investment was directed to this.

The head of our state inspected the modern types of commerce and services in the shopping center. The 4-story building houses retail outlets, including branches of famous brands. Restaurants and cafes, entertainment venues, sports fields, and cinemas are at the service of the public. There is an underground parking lot.

In short, all the conditions have been created here for people to shop, relax, play sports, and have fun. The complex has a capacity to serve 5,000 people per day. It has provided employment for 1,500 people.

Recognizing the economic importance of the complex and its convenience for the population, our President emphasized that supporting investors and entrepreneurs will continue to be a strategic direction of our state policy. He gave instructions to officials to turn our national products into brands and introduce them to foreign markets.

A cozy bookstore has also been opened in the shopping center. Shavkat Mirziyoyev welcomed this initiative and said that it would be advisable to organize cozy bookstores at metro stations and waiting areas.

The head of our state, seeing the children on the playground, expressed his sincere love and concern. He emphasized that all today's efforts are being made for the future of our country, for this, children should study well and develop their intellectual and creative potential.

A 24-story, five-star hotel is also planned to be built soon. It will have 250 rooms and will be able to serve 430 people at the same time. Modern amenities will be installed in large and small conference halls, swimming pools, restaurants and shops.

The head of our state was presented with a project for modern housing to be built here. According to it, 28 multi-storey buildings with 1,500 apartments will be built. The courtyard of the complex will be a closed and green area for cars. A kindergarten, playground, tennis court, and underground parking will be organized. The entire territory of the complex will be covered with Wi-Fi, and noiseless elevators will be installed in the buildings.

Projects for the development of public transport in Tashkent were also considered. As is known, it is planned to extend the Tashkent metro to the Tashkent Tractor Plant. Our President instructed to reconsider the previously submitted projects and introduce other alternative proposals. According to the new project prepared accordingly, 10 stations will be built from the Great Silk Road metro to the Tashkent Tractor Plant. This network will cover 30 neighborhoods and 148 thousand residents.

According to another project, it is planned to build multi-storey houses, commercial and service buildings near the Chirchik River in Bektemir district. As a result, urbanization will accelerate in the district and a new center will appear.
