Today, Tashkent may break the absolute May temperature record for the past 170 years, reported Nuz.uz. The air temperature is expected to exceed the current record of +39.9°C.

Uzhydromet has issued a weather forecast for today, predicting temperatures between +39°C and +41°C in the capital.

The extreme heat will continue on Saturday. The night from Friday to Saturday is expected to be particularly stifling.

By Sunday, residents will feel relief as temperatures are expected to drop by about 10°C compared to Friday and Saturday.
