The President opens an unprecedented path of encouragement for talented youth

In our country, major steps are being taken by the state to support gifted, intelligent, and educated children, and to encourage their aspirations. A new decree has been announced as part of the “President’s Gifted Children” program, initiated by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Through this decree, significant changes have been introduced in the material rewarding of winners of international and regional olympiads, as well as their teachers and national team leaders.

From now on, students who win a gold medal in a prestigious international olympiad will receive a one-time monetary award of 937.5 million soums. This is equivalent to 2,500 times the current basic calculation value (BCV). The teacher who prepared such a student will also not be left unrewarded — they will be paid 168 million 750 thousand soums (450 BCV). The national team leader will receive 13 million 125 thousand soums (35 BCV).

Silver medal winners will also receive great attention:
– for 2nd place in a prestigious international olympiad — 562.5 million soums;
– their teachers — 93 million 750 thousand soums;
– team leaders — 9 million 375 thousand soums.

Bronze medal winners will also be honored generously:
– 375 million soums for the student;
– 56 million 250 thousand soums for the teacher;
– 5 million 625 thousand soums for the team leader.

In addition, the scale of rewards has also been expanded for other types of international olympiads. For example, gold medal winners in an international olympiad will receive 56 million 250 thousand soums, silver medalists — 37.5 million soums, and bronze medalists — 18 million 750 thousand soums. Their teachers will be rewarded respectively with 18 million 750 thousand, 13 million 125 thousand, and 11 million 250 thousand soums.

Achievements in regional international olympiads will also not go unnoticed. In this category, students who win a gold medal will receive 4.5 million soums, and their teachers will receive 18 million 750 thousand soums. Silver and bronze medalists will receive 3 million and 2 million 250 thousand soums respectively. Their teachers will be awarded 13 million 125 thousand and 11 million 250 thousand soums respectively.

These changes are the result of reforms aimed at nurturing a young generation with high intellectual and scientific potential, increasing the quality of education and the prestige of teachers. This decree, implemented under the initiative of our President, pays serious attention not only to students, but also to the teachers who prepare them.

Currently, this system of material encouragement serves not only as a reward, but also as a spiritual support, a source of goals and hope for scientific research. Through this, our youth will be able to demonstrate their scientific potential on the world stage, protect the honor of the country, and make a worthy contribution to the development of our homeland in the future.
