The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed an important decree “On the celebration of the blessed Eid al-Adha.” In accordance with this document, the first day of Eid al-Adha in 2025 will fall on Friday, June 6. This was officially announced based on information from the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan.

According to the decree, June 6 will be widely celebrated throughout the country as Eid al-Adha as a national holiday. It is planned to create all the necessary conditions for every family to celebrate this day in accordance with national traditions and values.

Another convenience has been created for the population in connection with Eid al-Adha — Saturday, June 7, has been designated as an additional day off for those working on a six-day workweek. This will allow the holiday to be held in a more festive and peaceful atmosphere.

Also, in order to ensure the implementation of the decision, a number of tasks were assigned to the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regional and Tashkent city khokimiyats, the Committee on Religious Affairs, the Association of Mahallas of Uzbekistan, the National Agency for Social Protection and other competent organizations. They will take appropriate measures to ensure that our people celebrate Eid al-Adha in a peaceful and prosperous atmosphere, in accordance with national traditions and customs.

It should be recalled that Eid al-Adha is one of the greatest holidays in Islam. This day is important as a spiritual holiday of honor that calls everyone to humanism, generosity and tolerance.
