Gazprom boosted gas supplies to Uzbekistan to 5.64 bcm in 2024
In 2024, Russian company Gazprom increased natural gas exports to Uzbekistan by 4.4 times, reaching 5.64 billion cubic meters. This is stated in the company's annual report, as reported by Kursiv Uzbekistan.

In 2023, the supply volume was 1.28 billion cubic meters. Thus, over the year, exports increased by 4.36 billion cubic meters, or 340.6%.

Deliveries began in October 2023 and were carried out in reverse mode through the Central Asia – Center main gas pipeline system. During the winter period, supplies were carried out at the maximum permissible level of technical pipeline capacity.

Gazprom's report notes that Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and China were among the top three countries with the highest absolute increase in gas supplies in 2024.

The company emphasizes that expanding gas cooperation with Central Asian countries will contribute to the region's sustainable economic growth in the long term.
