Rain, wind and dust expected in Uzbekistan throughout the week

According to official data from the Hydrometeorological Service, adverse weather conditions may be observed in Uzbekistan from June 9 to 13. Wind, short-term rains, and dust in some places are expected throughout the day.

The movement of relatively humid air masses across the territory of Uzbekistan will continue throughout the week. The weather will be close to climatic norms in most cases. Despite the high temperature, thunderstorms and rain are likely to occur in some places.

On Sunday, June 9, short-term rain is possible in some regions of the country. Thunderstorms are also possible in some places. Wind speed may increase to 13-18 meters/second. Dust is likely to occur in some regions and provinces.

On June 10-11, short-term rain is possible mainly in the northwestern part of Uzbekistan, as well as in the Central regions and the Fergana Valley from June 10-13. Dry weather will remain in the south and desert regions of the country.

The temperature will be around +30...+35 degrees during the day. In southern cities such as Yangikkurgan, Termez, Sherabad, the temperature may rise to +37 degrees.

On June 12-13, winds are expected to increase throughout the republic. In some places, the wind may reach 18 m/s. Dust and dusty weather may be observed in some areas.

In mountainous and foothill areas, there is also a warning about the possibility of occasional heavy rain, thunderstorms, and as a result, the formation of mudflows and floods.

On June 9, short-term rain and thunderstorms are possible in Tashkent, especially in the second half of the day. Wind speed is expected to increase to 12-15 m/s, and dusty winds are expected in some neighborhoods.

On Thursday, June 10, the weather in the capital will be mostly clear. No precipitation is expected.

On June 11, short-term rain is possible in the morning and night, and the weather will be clear during the day.

On June 12-13, short-term rain and thunderstorms are possible in Tashkent.

The temperature during this period will be between +21...+23 degrees at night and +33...+35 degrees during the day.

Officials are calling on the population to be careful, especially citizens living in mountainous areas to be aware of the risk of landslides. It is also recommended to use medical masks to protect the respiratory system during dusty winds.
