
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev left for the capital of Kazakhstan, the city of Astana, on June 17. The visit is being carried out at the official invitation of the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The head of state will participate in the second high-level summit in the "Central Asia – China" format. This event has been organized with the aim of taking multilateral cooperation between regional countries and China to a new stage.
Within the framework of the summit, discussions are expected on projects in the fields of transport and logistics, energy, digitalization, industry, and agriculture. At the same time, pressing issues such as security, climate change, and rational use of water resources will also be on the agenda.
In addition, a bilateral meeting between President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping is scheduled. During the meeting, issues such as further strengthening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China, increasing trade turnover, and launching new projects will be discussed.
The results of the summit are expected to contribute to the deepening of regional cooperation and further activation of political and economic relations.
