"Open Budget" Season 2 starts: the date of the process is known
In 2025, the second season of the “Open Budget” project will begin. According to official information from the Ministry of Economy and Finance, this season will take place from July 15 to August 31 of this year. The voting stages, participation requirements, and the procedure for determining the winners have been clarified.

“Open Budget” is an innovative project aimed at ensuring the targeted and efficient distribution of state budget funds with the participation of the public. This initiative allows citizens to directly participate in solving local problems.

The second season will begin on July 15 with the project submission phase. This stage will continue until August 3. During this time, citizens, the public, and local authorities will be able to officially submit projects in various fields such as social issues, infrastructure, education, healthcare, and other urgent areas.

From August 4, the selection phase will begin and continue until August 18. During this phase, the submitted projects will be analyzed from technical, economic, and social perspectives and selected by local experts.

The next phase — the promotion stage — will take place from August 19 to 21. During this period, the main task will be to introduce the projects to the public, promote them, highlight their benefits, and actively engage citizens in the voting process.

Finally, from August 22 to August 31, the voting stage will begin. Citizens will have the opportunity to vote for their preferred projects through the my.gov.uz platform or special electronic resources. Each citizen may vote only once, and transparency and fairness will be ensured throughout the process.

The projects that receive the most votes will be declared winners and officially announced on September 1 — Independence Day. The implementation of the winning projects is planned for the second half of 2025.

It is worth noting that the “Open Budget” project has also generated significant interest in previous seasons and has helped solve many local issues. For instance, many important areas such as road repairs, school reconstruction, and renewal of internal infrastructure were implemented thanks to citizens' initiatives.

Representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Finance emphasize that this project enhances public engagement, raises awareness of social responsibility, and ensures accountability of local authorities.

It should be noted that each submitted project must meet certain conditions and technical requirements. Applications sent via the special portal must be filled out in a specific format and submitted within the designated deadlines.

In conclusion, the second season of the “Open Budget” project is becoming an important mechanism not only for financial transparency but also for involving citizens in governance. This marks another important step in the development of civil society.

Authorities urge all citizens to participate actively in the process and not to remain indifferent to the problems in their districts, cities, or villages. Every vote is a contribution to decisions that impact one’s own life.
