Earthquake observed in Bukhara, residents worried
Today, on July 6, an earthquake occurred in the Karakul district of the Bukhara region. This was reported by the Republican Center for Seismoprognostic Monitoring under the Ministry of Emergency Situations. The earthquake was recorded at 20:16 local time.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located 533 kilometers southwest of Tashkent, within the territory of Karakul district. According to seismological data, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers, and the intensity at the epicenter was 4 points.

However, in other regions of Uzbekistan, the impact of the earthquake was relatively low. For example, in the city of Gazli, as well as in the Karakul and Peshku districts, the tremors were felt at a level of 2 points. This is not considered a strong earthquake, but it was felt by some residents.

During the earthquake, residents of various parts of the Bukhara region experienced significant concern. Reports appeared on social networks that some people had left their homes. In some videos, hanging lamps were seen swinging in buildings, and small noises were heard.

According to the information provided by the Ministry of Emergency Situations, no material damage or casualties have been recorded so far. However, preventive measures are planned to eliminate public anxiety and instability.

At the same time, seismologists stated that this earthquake is a natural process, and stronger tremors are not expected at the moment. Although this part of the Bukhara region is historically known as a zone with low seismic activity, such natural events can occasionally occur.

Experts are calling on the population to take precautionary measures — in particular, to securely fix furniture and household appliances at home, and to be informed about how to behave during an earthquake.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations announced that it will continue to regularly inform the population through its official website and social media pages. Additional analytical data and recommendations on precautionary measures are also expected to be published soon.

This event once again reminds us of the natural activity of the Earth's crust. Although seismological observations cannot predict such events in advance, public awareness and preparedness help to reduce potential risks.
