4,000 grants for women: the door to opportunities has opened

An important decision was made that can lead to major changes in women's lives. According to the Presidential decree, this year 4000 state grants will be allocated for women in the country. The Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation has prepared several proposals to ensure fair and purposeful distribution of these grants and submitted them to the State Commission. These proposals cover the following main directions.

First of all, proposals will be developed for the distribution of 1320 state grants allocated to foreign higher education institutions and their branches, as well as non-state educational institutions operating in the republic, according to fields of study.

Secondly, it is planned to allocate 30 state grants for young compatriots living abroad but wishing to receive education in their homeland. The goal is to bring them back to the country and direct their knowledge and potential towards national development.

Importantly, in cooperation with the Committee on Family and Women’s Affairs, proposals have also been submitted for the distribution of 4000 state grants specifically for women. Through these proposals, conditions will be created for every woman to choose a field of education freely based on her abilities.

In addition, a list will be formed of non-state educational institutions that wish to participate in the distribution of state orders and admit students according to the rules and conditions established for state universities.

Also, proposals will be prepared for the 2025–2026 academic year on general admission parameters across higher education institutions, forms of education, and languages of instruction. This is important for planning in the education sector and directing the student flow correctly.

As a result of these initiatives implemented by the government, it is expected that the level of women’s socio-economic activity, educational level, and ability to make independent decisions in our country will significantly increase.
