Flavor, art, and tradition intertwined at Khorezm melon festival
Starting from the first days of August, Khorezm region will once again be in the spotlight of both tourists and local residents. According to uzbektourism.uz, the traditional "Melon Festival," organized in cooperation with the Uzbekistan Tourism Committee and the Khorezm regional administration, is expected to be held on an even larger scale this year.

Within the framework of the festival, all cities and districts of the region will organize exhibitions and sales of various types of melons grown in their areas. The pavilions will be festively decorated based on national traditions and regional diversity, creating a festive atmosphere that attracts every guest.

But the festival is not only about sweet melons — it will showcase every aspect of national culture. Theatrical performances, puppet shows, a fashion show of national costumes, sales of famous Khorezm bread and uniquely flavored dishes, as well as handicraft exhibitions — all of this will fill the “Melon Festival” with vivid content.

Additionally, live songs and music will be performed by folklore and artistic groups. A special exhibition will be organized for those interested in visual and applied arts. For children, convenient and entertaining areas and masterclasses will be prepared.

Active participants in the festival will be awarded valuable prizes from the Khorezm regional administration and sponsors in various categories. This will serve not only as encouragement but also as a stimulus for growing interest in the festival every year.

The peak of the festival will be the gala concerts on August 8–9 at the historical “Ichan Qala” complex and on August 10 at the “Arda Khiva” tourism complex, featuring performances by local and foreign stars. These concerts will enhance the festive spirit even further.

This is not just a melon festival, but a vivid expression of the people’s life, art, culture, and hospitality. Participating in the festival means not only enjoying delicious melons but also getting to know the ancient culture of the Uzbek people more closely.
