The voting stage of the 2nd season of the “Initiative Budget” 2025 has officially started. This process was organized to ensure public participation in various projects and to consider the opinions of residents. However, in some districts, the requirements and decisions of the working commission caused controversial situations.
According to the Ministry of Economy and Finance, a total of 22,263 projects were submitted by citizens this season, of which 18,656 were moved to the voting stage. However, in the Altynkul and Ulugnor districts of Andijan region, several projects were unjustifiably rejected by the working commission, leading to complaints from citizens.
As a result, the ministry sent official letters for the projects to be reconsidered based on the standards established by current legislation, but the relevant district working commissions did not ensure the projects were reconsidered. Therefore, the voting stage in these districts will not be held during the 2nd season.
Citizens can vote for their projects through the following methods:
via the “Open Budget” portal website;
using the portal’s mobile application for Android and iOS;
via the official Telegram bot.
The voting process will continue until 23:59 on August 31 of this year. This opportunity provides citizens with a chance to clearly and openly express their opinions and initiatives. Additionally, this process is important for supporting local projects and encouraging public participation.
Socially active citizens and project participants can make full use of this process by voting for their projects and contributing to the life of cities and districts.
