In Andijan region, as a result of the “Tig” activities, 811 cases of carrying various sharp objects in public places were identified, the Ministry of Internal Affairs press service reported. These cases allowed prompt actions to ensure public safety and prevent crimes.
According to the data, over the past month, courts reviewed 527 cases, of which 8 resulted in administrative detention and 407 in administrative fines. In addition, 31 individuals received strict warnings not to repeat such actions in the future.
During the events, citizens carrying various knives, specially made sticks, and sharp bolts were also identified. In some cases, actions that could pose a threat to peaceful citizens were observed. For example, in Andijan city, a group of people were found with knives and specially made bolts.
The law enforcement authorities submitted the collected evidence to the court, resulting in 5 individuals receiving 15-day administrative detention. This contributed to increasing safety in public places for local residents and tourists.
The activities played an important role not only in identifying offenders but also in preventing potential crimes in the future. MIA officials urge the public to remain attentive, avoid carrying dangerous items, and cooperate in ensuring public safety.
As a result, the level of safety in public places in Andijan region has significantly increased, and law enforcement authorities continue to ensure public safety through strict measures.
