In Uzbekistan, the incidence of ARIs is observed with a low rate

The situation with acute respiratory infections (ARIs) in Uzbekistan remains under stable control. According to the Sanitary and Epidemiological Committee, the current incidence rate in the country is 36.5% lower than the long-term epidemic norm.

At the same time, it was reported that a seasonal increase in ARI is observed in Russia and neighboring countries. It was emphasized that this situation could increase the risk of infection entering and spreading in the country through air travel, labor migration, and business trips.

The committee noted that the epidemiological situation in Uzbekistan is under constant monitoring. Virological studies are being conducted to determine the types of influenza and ARI. Currently, 15 special virology laboratories operate under the committee's jurisdiction, through which the diagnosis of influenza and similar diseases is carried out.

When analyzing by age categories, the highest incidence is found among children aged 0-1 years. Also, the general epidemiological situation regarding influenza and ARI in the republic is currently stable and is under the full control of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Committee.

Officials emphasized that following safety precautions and paying serious attention to seasonal preventive measures is crucial for preventing the spread of the infection.
