In recent days, nighttime frosts have been observed in Uzbekistan. This situation indicates that the autumn season is entering its active phase.
Russian meteorologist Eduard Mikhailov provided information on when the first serious snowfall might occur in the country. According to him, no snowfall is expected at the end of October or the beginning of November, UPL.uz reported.
The meteorologist emphasized that accurate weather forecasts are for 3–5 days, with an accuracy of up to 96%. The accuracy for 5–7 day forecasts is 85–87%, while long-term forecasts for more than 14 days are usually considered approximate.
It was also stated that, based on the peculiarities characteristic of the Central Asian climate and data from previous years, snow may fall at least from mid-November.
In recent years, winters in the region have been much colder. This is due to atmospheric instability, with the influence of Arctic air on southern regions increasing.
In general, despite global warming, a cold and stable winter similar to last year may be observed this year as well, said Eduard Mikhailov.
