
On October 28, an important diplomatic event took place at the Kuksaroy residence in Tashkent - the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and his wife, Tamara Vučić, arrived in Uzbekistan on an official visit.

Within the framework of the visit, the First Lady of Uzbekistan, Ziroat Mirziyoyeva, held a meeting with the First Lady of Serbia, Tamara Vucic. This dialogue was assessed as an important step towards further deepening human, cultural, and spiritual ties between the two countries.

During the informal conversation, an exchange of views took place on the common values connecting the peoples of the two countries, in particular, cooperation in the cultural, educational, and humanitarian spheres. During the conversation, Ziroat Mirziyoyeva spoke about the socio-scientific initiatives being implemented in Uzbekistan, and Tamara Vučić introduced the work on women's activism and the protection of children's rights in Serbia.

The parties noted that relations between Uzbekistan and Serbia are reaching a new level, and emphasized the importance of further strengthening friendship, trust, and mutual understanding between the peoples.

Following the meeting, Ziroat Mirziyoyeva and Tamara Vucic participated in a demonstration of Uzbek folk applied arts and national traditions. The guest was presented with a collection of carpets, jewelry, and atlas-adras created by local artisans. The dances and songs in national costumes also made a great impression on the guests.

The meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The first chambers of the two countries expressed their desire to further expand cultural and social cooperation in the future.

This dialogue will undoubtedly go down in history as a symbol of not only diplomatic but also humanitarian friendship.
