From 2026, waste payments will be made only online

Starting from January 1, 2026, payments for household waste collection services in Uzbekistan will be made exclusively online, reported the Waste Management Agency.

The new procedure covers both individuals and legal entities and will be implemented nationwide through sanitation companies.

According to the agency, the reform aims to create convenient payment options for citizens, ensure transparency in billing, and prevent corruption.

From now on, payments for waste services will be carried out via the “Toza makon” billing system or electronic payment platforms. In areas without internet access, payments can still be made through commercial bank cash desks and “Uzbekistan Post” branches.

It was also reminded that if there is an outstanding debt for waste services, the acceptance of electricity payments may be temporarily suspended.

Officials stated that once the system is fully operational, all data related to waste collection and payments will be monitored through a unified online database.
