According to the press service of Uzbekistan's Energoinspeksiya, cases of illegal use of energy resources are being detected. Energoinspeksiya employees, together with representatives of law enforcement agencies and other departments, conducted inspection events.
During the events held in October this year, it was revealed that 99 billion soums’ worth of damage was caused to the national energy system. In total, 192 cases of illegal use of energy resources by consumers were recorded.
This includes the theft of 22.3 million kWh of electricity worth 63.9 billion soums and 11.4 million cubic meters of natural gas worth 35 billion soums. Additionally, 479 administrative cases related to violations of the rules for using energy resources were initiated.
All relevant documents regarding the identified cases have been sent to law enforcement agencies, which will conduct further investigations and assess the legal responsibility of those who illegally used energy resources.
