According to the Ministry of Health, starting from 2026, the “Online Doctor” service will be launched in Uzbekistan’s emergency medical assistance system.
Through the new platform, citizens will be able to receive medical consultations remotely in emergency situations. This system will strengthen coordination between emergency departments, hospitals, and polyclinics, helping doctors make faster medical decisions.
The project is being implemented as part of the healthcare system digitalization program. According to the ministry, the efficiency of the system has significantly improved in recent years.
So far, 2,400 dispatchers have undergone special training. As a result, delays in ambulance arrivals have been reduced from 1.1 percent to 0.3 percent. Most importantly, the average response time to calls has decreased from 25–30 minutes to 10–15 minutes.
Over the past eight years, the number of emergency medical centers has increased from 818 to 1,600, and the number of ambulance teams from 1,600 to 2,800. At the same time, the cost of medicines per call has risen from 750 soums to 11,800 soums.
Officials emphasize that the “Online Doctor” service will further enhance the efficiency of medical care and expand opportunities to save human lives.
