
Large-scale inspections are being carried out in 12 districts of Tashkent to check how ecological and sanitary requirements are being met at construction sites. A total of 140 responsible employees have been involved, and they are strengthening control to prevent dust, sand and other pollution at construction areas.
According to recent data, violations of dust-control requirements were detected at 60 out of 96 inspected sites. At 47 construction areas, the requirement to green at least 25 percent of the territory was not fulfilled. As a result, the activity of 15 sites has been temporarily suspended.
During the inspections, 70 individuals were held administratively liable, while 68 others were officially warned. Officials note that these measures are aimed at protecting the city’s air and strengthening ecological order.
Additionally, extra work is being carried out to reduce pollution at construction sites. Special water-washing devices have been installed at 24 sites, and 62 sites have been equipped with pools for washing vehicle tyres.
