In Uzbekistan, the dates for the winter holidays for students of higher, secondary specialized and vocational education institutions, as well as academic lyceums, have been officially announced. This was reported by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation.
According to the new procedure, the winter holidays will begin on December 28 and will last until January 10, 2026. To ensure that students can travel freely to their home regions, additional conveniences will be created in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport, “Uzbekistan Railways” JSC and “Uzbekistan Airways” JSC.
The most pleasing news is that from December 18, 2025 to January 12, 2026, a 50 percent discount on travel tickets will be available for students and pupils. This will greatly simplify holiday trips and returning to their families.
The new decision is expected to allow students to spend their time effectively, rest, and prepare for the new semester.
