Uzgidromet has announced the weather forecast for January 16–18. According to the forecast, precipitation is expected in most regions of the republic during the weekend, mainly in the form of snow.
According to the data, today, January 16 during the daytime and on the night leading into Saturday, rain will fall across most parts of Uzbekistan, gradually turning into snow. In the regions of the Fergana Valley, precipitation is expected to begin in the evening.
During the daytime on Saturday, January 17, relatively stable weather will prevail across the republic. In some areas, snowfall is possible, but its intensity will significantly decrease. In the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the Khorezm region, mostly dry weather is forecast.
On Sunday, January 18, precipitation is not expected in most parts of the country. Only at night and in the morning, light snowfall may occur in some areas of the Navoi, Tashkent, Syrdarya regions and the Fergana Valley.
Air temperatures today during the daytime will range from 5 to 8°C. On Saturday and Sunday, temperatures will be around 0 to 5°C. Nighttime temperatures may drop from 3°C below zero to 2°C above zero. Fog is possible in some areas. Wind speed will be 7–12 m/s, with gusts up to 13–18 m/s in some places on January 16.
In mountainous areas, snowfall will occur from time to time, and in some places it may be heavy. The risk of avalanches remains.
In Tashkent, rain is expected today, turning into snow in the evening. The temperature will be 6–8°C. On Saturday night and morning, rain and snow are possible, along with fog. During the day, light snow may occur. On Sunday morning, light snowfall is possible, while no precipitation is expected during the day.
