"Askiya" market suspended due to deficiencies

The "Askiya" farmers' market in Tashkent was found to have failed to comply with fire safety requirements, and its operations were temporarily suspended. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported this.

According to the ministry, inspections were conducted within the framework of state fire control at a number of markets and shopping complexes in the capital. During the inspections, gross violations of fire safety rules were found at several facilities.

In particular, the deficiencies identified at the "Askiya" farmers' market in Yakkasaroy district indicated that its general condition did not meet the established requirements. For this reason, the market was disconnected from the power supply and its operations were temporarily suspended.

Deficiencies were also identified in some markets and shopping centers in Mirzo Ulugbek, Bektemir, Chilonzor, Uchtepa and other districts, and the power supply was temporarily limited. According to officials, after all deficiencies are eliminated, the facilities will resume their operations.

The FVV stressed that these measures are not aimed at restricting the activities of entrepreneurs, but rather at ensuring safety in crowded places and preventing emergency situations.
