Temperatures in Uzbekistan expected to reach 38 degrees

Temperatures in Uzbekistan are forecast to rise to 38 degrees Celsius throughout the current week.

According to Uzhydromet, unstable weather conditions will persist in the central and eastern regions of the country on Monday, May 4. In the second half of the day, short-term rain and thunderstorms are possible in some areas of Tashkent, Samarkand, Jizzakh, and Syrdarya regions, as well as the Fergana Valley. Temperatures will be around 23–26 degrees. No precipitation is expected in the northern, southern, and desert regions, where temperatures will rise to 27–32 degrees.

From May 5 to 7, most of the country will remain dry, although short-term rain is possible in some areas of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and the Khorezm region. On May 8, short-term rain is possible in some parts of the country, excluding the southern and eastern regions.

From May 5 to 8, air temperatures will gradually increase: nighttime temperatures will be 17–20 degrees, and daytime temperatures will reach 32–35 degrees, with highs of up to 38 degrees in the southern regions.

On May 6–7, wind speeds may increase to 13–18 meters per second, primarily in desert areas, and on May 8, this may occur in some parts of the country, accompanied by dust storms in certain areas.

In the foothill and mountainous regions of the country, there is a possibility of short-term rain and thunderstorms in some areas on May 4–5 and May 8.

No precipitation is expected in the capital, Tashkent. Today, the daytime temperature will be 24–26 degrees, and from May 5 to 8, it will gradually rise to 30–35 degrees. The wind will blow from the east at 3–8 meters per second, potentially increasing to 10–12 meters per second in some areas on May 8, accompanied by dust storms.
