Donald Trump has officially assumed the role of the 47th President of the United States. He took the oath of office using the Bible of Abraham Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States.

“The golden age of America begins right now. From today, we will flourish, and all nations will envy us,” Trump declared.

As per tradition, he pledged to faithfully execute the duties of the presidency and to protect the Constitution of the United States.

James David Vance also took office as Vice President of the United States.

The inauguration ceremony was held at the Capitol building. The event was attended by Joe Biden, former Vice President Kamala Harris, as well as former Presidents Barack Obama (2009–2017), Bill Clinton (1993–2001), George W. Bush (2001–2009), and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
