85-year-old woman in Thailand regains consciousness at her own funeral

In Thailand's Buriram province, 85-year-old Phua Sriphadung "came back to life" during her funeral, The Thaiger reports. The woman regained consciousness 40 minutes after she was declared dead. Relatives attribute her "return from the afterlife" to good karma.

Phua Sriphadung's body was being prepared to be taken to a temple where religious ceremonies are held when the woman regained consciousness.

The incident occurred on the evening of February 5. Relatives found her unconscious and thought she was dead. They called rescue services to remove the body. But after about 40 minutes, the woman suddenly stood up, shocking her relatives and neighbors.

After this incident, Phua Sriphadung's behavior changed. She behaved like a child: she wanted to be carried and pampered with sweets.

The woman's body was surprisingly small: she was 112 centimeters tall and weighed only 15 kilograms. The priests noted that the woman's actions were generally conscious, but some of her actions resembled those of a child. Follow “Zamin” news on “Telegram”
