Poland’s Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski has responded to President Vladimir Putin’s recent conditions for a Ukraine ceasefire, which include halting forced mobilization and stopping the rearmament of Ukrainian forces, Tengrinews.kz reported citing European Pravda.
Sikorski wrote on social media platform X that if Russia is truly concerned about foreign military aid to Ukraine during a potential truce, it should lead by example and stop accepting Iranian drones and North Korean artillery. He stated: “If Russia is worried about foreign supplies during the ceasefire, it should first give up Iranian drones and North Korean shells.”
His response adds to the growing number of Western leaders who have rejected Putin’s proposed terms. German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, French President Emmanuel Macron, and the UK government have all reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Ukraine militarily.
Former U.S. President Donald Trump noted that Ukraine was not discussed during his recent phone call with Putin.
