
A 4.5 magnitude earthquake hit Tajikistan overnight on April 14, reports zamin.uz, citing the EMSC.
The quake occurred at 5:44 AM Tashkent time (00:44 UTC) about 23 km from Rasht, at a depth of 5 kilometers.
No reports of casualties or damage have been confirmed so far.
Just a day earlier, on April 13, two stronger earthquakes were recorded in the same region, near Rasht, 180 km east of Dushanbe.
The first quake occurred at 09:24 local time with a magnitude of 5.8, according to the US Geological Survey. It was felt in Uzbekistan, including 2-magnitude tremors in Tashkent.
A second quake followed at 12:14. EMSC measured its magnitude at 4.2.
On April 13, RIA Novosti reported that a 3-year-old child died in the quake, citing Tajik emergency services. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
