
On the night of April 24, Russian troops launched massive strikes across the territory of Ukraine. The attacks hit the city of Kiev and the Kiev region, as well as the Kharkiv, Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Khmelnytskyi, Sumy and Zaporizhia regions.
According to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, rescuers managed to extinguish more than 40 fires in 9 regions of the country. The greatest damage was inflicted on Kiev, with fires breaking out in 13 places in the capital. In particular, a multi-storey residential building was destroyed in the Svyatoshinsky district of Kiev.

As of 7:30 a.m. local time, 9 people were killed in Kiev, and more than 70 others were injured to varying degrees.
Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov reported that the city had been attacked 24 times. According to him, 14 of the attacks were carried out by drones, and another 10 were carried out by missiles.
"Multi-storey buildings, a city clinic, an educational institution, private houses, industrial buildings and a hotel complex were damaged. One person was hospitalized," Terekhov said.
A five-storey residential building in the Bucha district of the Kiev region was damaged, and residential and administrative buildings in Zaporizhia.
