Donald Trump revealed his potential successors
U.S. President Donald Trump stated that after completing his term as head of state, he will continue his political activity and considers successors who can take responsibility for the country’s future. He said this in an interview with NBC News.

In a conversation with journalist Kristen Welker, Trump mentioned Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Vice President J.D. Vance as politicians who, in his view, are capable of leading the country in the future. According to him, these two can continue his political direction and lead the “Make America Great Again” movement.

The president emphasized that the list is not limited to these two names — another 10–15, possibly 20 politicians are ready to work hard to ensure the successful future of the United States.

“After my presidential term ends, many politicians can fight for the future of the country. Unlike the Democratic Party, we have talented and young politicians. The new generation coming after me can actively participate in leading the country. Unfortunately, the Democrats have very few young and talented leaders,” said Trump.

According to him, this situation may prevent the formation of a healthy competitive environment for his successors.

Currently, according to the U.S. Constitution, a president cannot serve more than two terms. As stated in the 22nd Amendment, “no person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice.” To change this rule, a constitutional amendment is required, supported by two-thirds of Congress (the Senate and House of Representatives), as well as three-fourths of the states.

“I will serve eight years — two terms — as President of the United States. That is a principle I value greatly. I’ve always said this openly,” said Donald Trump.

However, he also added that his thoughts on a possible third term are serious. He said it is too early to make a final decision, but many people have expressed support for this idea.

“My thoughts on a third term are serious, but there’s still time for a final decision. I know there are many who support me in this matter,” he added.

Trump’s statement has once again stirred the political atmosphere in the United States. Supporters and political analysts are now actively discussing who might emerge as the new leaders of the country, how they will act on the political stage, and who can replace Trump.

It should be reminded that the next U.S. presidential election is approaching, and Trump will not be eligible to run. For his party and movement, selecting a new nominee and maintaining political influence has become a top priority.
