How did Putin react to Ramzan Kadyrov's resignation?
Kadyrov spoke about resignation, while Putin stated that there is still much to do

The Head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, clarified the recent rumors and discussions on social media. He stated that during his meeting with the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, the issue of his possible resignation was raised. He wrote about this in his Telegram channel.

According to Kadyrov, Putin commented on the ongoing discussions on the internet and quoted the famous American writer Mark Twain: “The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated.” With these words, he hinted that the talks about Kadyrov's resignation were overly blown out of proportion.

The Chechen leader emphasized Putin's words that "there is still a lot to be done." Based on this, Kadyrov stated that he is ready to carry out the president’s orders without hesitation.

It is worth noting that a day earlier, Kadyrov, in a conversation with journalists, commented on rumors about his possible resignation. He said that he feels tired and might step down from his post in the near future.

Later, he stressed that the final decision on this matter belongs solely to the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. This means he remains loyal to the power hierarchy, rather than acting on personal wishes.

As of now, no official decision regarding Kadyrov’s future has been announced. However, discussions around this topic remain at the center of attention in Russian politics. Putin’s statement that “there is still much to do” may indicate that Kadyrov will stay in his position for now.
