Four Uzbek citizens were detained for attempting to illegally enter the US
The U.S. Air and Maritime Operations Service (AMO) on Wednesday arrested four Uzbek citizens who were attempting to illegally enter the island of Vieques.

According to official information, the incident was detected on May 7 by the Fajardo Marine Unit. Border Patrol agents stopped and inspected a boat heading towards the island. There were a total of seven passengers on board the boat, three of whom were U.S. citizens, and the remaining four (three men and one woman) were Uzbek citizens. During the inspection, it was determined that the Uzbek passengers did not have any official documents required to enter or reside in the United States.

According to preliminary information, the vessel had set sail from St. John Island, located in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

In connection with this incident, Ramey Border Patrol agents detained four Uzbek citizens and detained them for immigration purposes and deportation from the United States.

For your information, we would like to remind you that earlier there were reports that a group of Uzbeks deported by the US government had been returned to their homeland. The US Border and Immigration Service is currently taking drastic measures to eliminate illegal entry into the country.
