A new, modern sports complex specializing in fencing and boxing has been launched in the city of Grozny. The Sports.ru website reported this, citing its sources. The head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, personally attended the opening ceremony of this facility and came up with an important initiative.
It can be named after the champion
In his speech, Kadyrov proposed naming the complex after the world boxing champion, Chechen athlete Artur Beterbiev. He noted that Beterbiev's activities, willpower, and achievements in international arenas serve as a great source of inspiration for Chechen youth.
"Our actions are carried out based on the dreams and instructions of the first President Akhmat-Hadzhi Kadyrov. He always emphasized the need to educate young people to be healthy, knowledgeable, and strong-willed. Today, we are implementing these ideas," Kadyrov said at the opening ceremony.
New opportunities for young people
The newly opened complex will create wide opportunities not only for professional athletes, but also for children and adolescents. It is planned to operate special halls, modern equipment and qualified coaches in both sports.
The local population and the sports community assess this project as an important social step that will lead the younger generation to a healthy and active life.
